Our Charges

Session charges (paid sessions that aren't covered with funding)

From January 2025 the following charges will apply.

For those aged two, three and four the charge is £19.50 per 3 hour session.

Consumables charge

Introduction of small consumables charge from January’25

We have put the introduction of a consumables charge on hold for as long as was possible but due to raising costs and funding pressures it is now necessary to add a small consumable charge to each nursery session taken. A session is a morning or an afternoon. All day counts as one session.

The consumables charge will be 50 pence per session and automatically invoice to you through FAMLY. This is for all sessions booked whether funded or non-funded.

Why are we now introducing a small consumables charge?

Most nursery settings use a consumable charge to cover their overheads. This is because government funding is only intended to deliver 15 or 30 hours a week of free basic childcare. It is not intended to cover the costs of meals, other consumables and resources, additional hours or additional activities. At Millbrook the consumables charge will cover lots of different items including; learning resources, art supplies, wet weather gear, children’s learning journeys, wet wipes, cover staff etc.
